Each student will leave with new tools for their trade, tools which they made by their own hand. Tools created will include a personal trimming bat, tools for shaping and creating consistency from piece to piece and more. Previous introductory wheel throwing experience is advised for students to gain the most from this workshop.  All work will be fired and ready for pick up 7-14 days after your class. We do not ship class work. If artwork is not picked up after 60 days it will be recycled.

Rock Cliff Nature Center (2500 UT-32, Kamas, UT 84036)
Students, please bring:
  • folding chair, otherwise you can sit cross legged on the boardwalk.
  • hat and sunscreen
  • dress in layers (We don’t want the cold to be a reason for discomfort)
  • gloves
  • water to drink
  • snack to eat
  • art materials provided
The weather is supposed to be really nice Saturday, 60 degrees!. But it won’t hurt to be prepared for cold or inclement weather.

Note from instructor: “I’d like to ask the participants not to listen to anything on the drive up to the Nature Center. Drive in silence. I realize this is an odd request but it will prepare them to be more sensitive for the class.”
