Family Friendly: Pumpkins in Clay

Step into a world of dots and color in our Pumpkins in Clay Workshop, inspired by the whimsical and bold art of Yayoi Kusama! In this hands-on class, you’ll create your own unique clay pumpkin, incorporating Kusama’s signature polka dots and vibrant patterns. Using hand-building techniques, you’ll shape and texture your pumpkin, then bring it to life with bold colors and the iconic dot patterns that have made Kusama’s work so famous. No experience needed—just bring your creativity and get ready to immerse yourself in a world of playful design and clay art! Under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Price is per project.

Once completed, your pumpkins will be fired and ready for pick-up within 7-14 days after your class. Please note that shipping for class work is unavailable. Kindly ensure timely retrieval within 60 days to avoid recycling. 

Family Friendly: Pressed Leaves Framing

Pressed Leaves & Upcycled Frames Workshop

Celebrate nature’s beauty by turning pressed leaves and flowers into a framed work of art! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll choose from a variety of upcycled frames and learn simple techniques for arranging and mounting pressed botanicals. Whether you prefer a clean minimalist layout or a colorful collage of fall foliage, your finished piece will be ready to display at home or gift to someone special.

No prior art experience needed—this project is wonderfully accessible for all creative levels and a perfect way to welcome early fall!

Ages: Adults; ages 8–14 must attend with an adult

Family Friendly: Tiny Tea Sets

Create a tiny world of whimsy together! In this family-friendly ceramics workshop, each group will design and build their very own miniature tea set—think tiny teacups, saucers, teapots, and all the charming details in between. Adults and kids work side-by-side, each crafting pieces that come together as one collaborative set. You’ll get to brainstorm shapes, choose colors, and bring your shared vision to life.

Perfect for Mother’s Day, a special outing with grandparents, or a fun creative day with the family. All skill levels welcome!

Ages: 6–12 must attend with an adult; older participants welcome
Create together. Play together. Sip pretend-tea together. ☕✨

Family Friendly: K-Pop Demon Hunters Tiger Workshop

Create “Derpy,” K-pop Tiger. Fun and playful art workshop where we blend traditional Korean folk painting (Minhwa) with the bright style of K-pop demon-hunter animation. In this workshop, you will paint “Derpy “ a cute, chubby tiger with blue shining mismatched eyes. “Derpy is like a real cat: goofy but wise, lazy but loyal” – The director Maggie Kang.

You will learn the Minhwa brush stroke and ink techniques to draw Derpy’s round, soft, expressive face and the blue glow in Derpy’s odd eyes. This workshop is great for beginners and anyone who loves K-pop, animation, and Korean culture. Join to workshop to relax, paint, and bring Derpy the Blue-Glow Tiger to life!

Materials will be provided, any youth under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Fearless Abstract Painting

In this immersive experience, you’ll explore innovative techniques, using rollers instead of brushes and unconventional materials like paint, plaster, and sand to create textured abstract art that reflects your unique vision. Let go of fear and silence your inner critic in a supportive environment where exploration and fun take precedence. No prior experience is needed — just an open mind and a willingness to dive in.

What to Expect
1. Opening Circle: We’ll start our journey together by connecting as a group. Share your intentions and set the tone for a weekend filled with creativity and inspiration.
 
2. Philosophy: Dive into the idea that “the process of creating evolves into ideas.” You’ll learn that every stroke of paint is a step toward discovering more about yourself and your art.
 
3. How to Begin: We’ll discuss how to set your intentions and how to tone your canvas to prepare for a day of artistic exploration.
 
4. FearLESS Abstract Painting Foundational Techniques: Experience hands-on learning as you use nature as your inspiration. You’ll master techniques like applying paint with rollers, blending colors with water, and manipulating the canvas to create depth and texture.
 
5. Texture Exploration: Discover the differences between modeling paste and gel medium, and learn how to make your own mediums using local materials like salt, sand, and sawdust.

Paper Making Workshop

Use natural fibers to transform raw materials into beautiful sheets of paper. Plunge your hands into vats of swirling fibers and then pull, couch, and press to form your own unique pieces. Plan on creating about 12 sheets of paper in a three-hour class. Papermaking can be messy—be prepared and wear art-making clothes. Learn what an amazing art form paper can be.
