This class will learn to paint like Van Gogh while using acrylic paints on canvas. Students will also be learning the history and life of Vincent.

Plein Air Painting at McPollin Barn
Enjoy painting the iconic Park City Barn as Cindy Briggs teaching you how to draw and paint the barn with flowing watercolors.
We’ll create a painting of the barn and possibly an additional scene nearby depending on time. Experienced Beginners to more advanced painters welcome.
Parking is across the street, arrive early to save your spot, walk through the tunnel and set up so you are ready to start at 9:30. Bring a picnic lunch and water. Wear a hat, sunscreen and bring a camp chair to sit on. Something to hold your paint such as a tv tray or 3 legged stool and board will be helpful if you don’t have an easel to hold your palette. Bring your own watercolor supplies and paper. (see attached list) or use supplies provided by the Kimball Art Center.
Wheel Try It 8
This is not a typical class, instead, a studio staff member will provide a demonstration at the start of the session in either wheel throwing or hand building techniques. A nominal $40 fee includes enough clay for two completed pieces as well as firing and glazing. All ages are welcome, but children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Potter’s wheel not recommended for children under 8.
