The Academic Resources for Teachers and Students (A.R.T.S.) is a free program developed by Kimball Art Center staff to provide cross-curriculum visual art lessons for Utah students in grades K-12. Kimball Art Center’s outreach coordinator visits classrooms around the state and facilitates a grade-appropriate discussion about our current exhibition while explaining how it relates to core subjects and leading a hands-on art project.
Kimball Art Center provides this program as a way to integrate art into lessons that are based on national core subject curriculum such as math, science, reading, writing, history, geography and language arts. All lesson plans are based on the state and national core curriculum requirements.
